JJJShop Ice Maker FAQ

JJJShop Ice Maker FAQ

Q1: How long does it take for the ice maker to produce ice for the first time?

A: For the first use, the ice maker needs to pre-cool its internal system. It usually takes 10-15 minutes to produce the first batch of ice. After that, it will enter the normal ice-making cycle, and each batch of ice can be produced in 6-8 minutes.

Q2: Why is the ice maker not producing ice?

A: Please check the following points: 1. Ensure the water tank is filled with water (the water level should not be lower than the minimum line); 2. Check if the ice basket is full (the machine will automatically stop making ice when it is full); 3. Confirm the power is connected and the machine is turned on; 4. If the ambient temperature is lower than 10℃, the ice-making efficiency will decrease or stop.

Q3: What kind of water is suitable for the ice maker?

A: It is recommended to use clean tap water, purified water or mineral water. Do not use muddy water, high-hardness water or seawater. Unqualified water will affect the service life of the machine and the purity of ice cubes.

Q4: How often should the ice maker be cleaned?

A: It is recommended to clean the ice maker every 1-2 weeks. You can use the machine's self-cleaning function (if equipped) or wipe it with a soft cloth dipped in neutral detergent, focusing on cleaning the inner tank and ice basket to avoid scale and bacterial growth.

Q5: Why does the ice made by the ice maker have an odor?

A: The main reasons are as follows: 1. The inner tank or ice basket is not cleaned in time, leading to bacterial growth; 2. The water used is unqualified or has an odor; 3. The machine has not been used for a long time. Solution: Thoroughly clean the machine, replace with clean water, and discard the first batch of ice after restarting.

Q6: Is the ice maker suitable for commercial use?

A: Yes. We provide three types of ice makers: household, office and commercial. The commercial model has a large ice-making capacity (50-100kg/24h) and a large-capacity ice storage bin, which can meet the needs of restaurants, coffee shops, bars and other commercial scenarios.

Q7: Does the ice maker come with a warranty?

A: All ice makers come with a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, if there is a non-human damage failure, we will provide free maintenance or part replacement. For more details, please contact our customer service.

Q8: Why is the ice maker making noise during operation?

A: A small amount of noise (35-45dB) during operation is normal, which is the sound of the compressor and water pump working. If the noise is too loud, please check if the machine is placed stably, if there are foreign objects inside, or if the compressor is faulty. Contact customer service for inspection if necessary.

Q9: What voltage does the ice maker adapt to?

A: Our ice makers are available in two voltage versions: 110V (for North America, Japan, etc.) and 220V (for Europe, Asia, etc.). Please confirm the local voltage before purchase to avoid equipment damage caused by voltage mismatch.

Q10: Can the ice maker be used outdoors?

A: It is not recommended to use the ice maker outdoors for a long time. If temporary outdoor use is needed, avoid direct sunlight, rain and snow, and ensure the ambient temperature is between 10℃-35℃. Long-term outdoor use in harsh environments will affect the service life of the machine.
